Reliant is GROWING and needs more good Technicians.
Current openings are in Nashville, TN, Birmingham, AL, and Pensacola, FL.
These are excellent positions for the right individuals. Reliant Techs work independently and are required to make a broad range of building repairs in retail stores including all building interior finishes, store fixtures and casework. Some of the work is outside. As a result, we look for extensive commercial construction experience at the superintendent level. Union training is a plus.
Reliant Techs often work during normal working hours on the sales floor where customers are shopping. As a result, we look for candidates who are clean‐cut.
Reliant Techs drive company service vans which they take home. As a result they must have good driving records so that they are insurable under Reliant's policy. DUIs and multiple moving violations are a problem.
Some of Reliant's Clients prohibit us from using convicted felons in their stores.
For candidates in whom we are really interested, we ask permission to run credit and criminal background checks. We also run DMV reports to confirm driving records. If you are interested in a Reliant position, please be honest with us on issues because these reports will turn up anything negative in your history. Do not waste your time and ours.
Reliant Techs get satisfaction out of fixing things and helping people. A typical repair takes several hours and Techs typically complete 12 – 20 work orders/week, depending upon their complexity and location.
Reliant Techs enjoy getting up early and getting to their first store before traffic gets bad.
Reliant Techs schedule their own work which is dispatched to them via a company website. Techs access it with Company provided smart phones.
Reliant Techs enjoy scheduling their own days and the flexibility that allows them. A Technician position is a full‐time employee position with opportunity for overtime. The Reliant office staff tracks Technician performance. Reliant service vans are tracked via GPS devices.
Reliant Techs have made Reliant their career with many over 10 years of service and several with over 15 years.
